Inspired by the main mission to introduce and preserve the richness of Indonesian culture and traditions, Hotel Tentrem proudly presents a special culinary event entitled "Tentrem ing Rasa". Held during the holy month of Ramadan, this event presents a harmony of taste in the dining experience at 3 (three) Hotel Tentrem properties in Yogyakarta, Semarang and Jakarta. 

In Tentrem ing Rasa, 4 (four) Hotel Tentrem Chefs collaborate to present each other's signature dishes in turn at Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta (8-9 March 2025), Hotel Tentrem Semarang (13-14 March 2025) and Hotel Tentrem Jakarta (21-22 March 2025). This event showcases the beautiful collaboration of Executive Chef Philip Walasary from Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta, Executive Chef Alfi Ardian from Hotel Tentrem Semarang, and Executive Chef Ivan Mangundap from Hotel Tentrem Jakarta, all under the leadership of Hotel Tentrem's Executive Chef: Chef Sky Lee. 

“Tentrem ing Rasa is a space for us to channel our expertise in creating culinary creations that not only satisfy the taste buds but also provide an in-depth experience of Indonesia’s cultural heritage,” said Executive Chef Sky Lee. “We hope that this event will not only serve delicious food, but also bring values ​​and stories that touch the hearts of our guests.”

An enticing menu will be served in this collaboration event. Not only bringing typical dishes from each city, the Chefs’ skill in combining elements of tradition and the latest trend innovations, makes each dish have an interesting story.

1. Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta: Surprise in a Classic Presentation
Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta carries a classic menu typical of Yogyakarta: Gudeg, Sate Klathak, Mangut Lele and Mie Lethek. Different from usual, the gudeg served is not only made from young jackfruit, but also Gudeg Manggar, which is gudeg made from young coconut flowers. Another surprise was given by Chef Philip Walasary in the dessert: Gudeg Ice Cream and Pecel Ice Cream. Discover the sweetness of jackfruit combined with the savory coconut milk in Gudeg Ice Cream. In Pecel Ice Cream, there is a nutty taste with hints of orange and galangal.

2. Hotel Tentrem Semarang: Babat Gongso & Salmon Asam Gelugur
Babat Gongso is a typical Semarang dish made from beef tripe cooked with spicy and sweet spices. Balanced with Salmon Asam Gelugur, this dish provides a fresh and sour taste of gelugur combined with the deliciousness of soft salmon, giving an innovative touch to traditional cuisine.

3. Hotel Tentrem Jakarta: Bebek Cibeber & Ayam Bakar Rabeg
Bebek Cibeber, a typical Banten culinary, is served in a more modern way but still maintains its authentic taste, combined with Ayam Bakar Rabeg seasoned with special spices from Madura.
This dish provides a combination of spicy, savory, and delicious flavors that are appetizing.

All of these dishes will invite guests to experience the uniqueness and deliciousness of rich Indonesian cuisine.

Event Schedule
The “Tentrem ing Rasa” event will take place during the month of Ramadan in three cities that have their own culinary characteristics. The four Executive Chefs will collaborate and be present at the three Tentrem Hotels with the following schedule:
• Hotel Tentrem Yogyakarta on March 8-9, 2025, priced at IDR 400,000 nett / person
• Hotel Tentrem Semarang on March 13-14, 2025, priced at IDR 485,000 nett / person
• Hotel Tentrem Jakarta on March 21-22, 2025, priced at IDR 588,000 nett / person

In the spirit of sharing and caring during the holy month of Ramadan, Hotel Tentrem proudly presents the Tilem ing Tentrem program. In Javanese, the word “tilem” means to sleep or rest, which in this context reflects tranquility and peace. Through this program, IDR 10,000 from every room sold during Ramadan will be donated to support children with cancer in halfway houses managed by the Yayasan Kasih Anak Kanker Indonesia (YKAKI) in Yogyakarta, Semarang, and Jakarta.

This scented candle is made with great care and passion by the Motherhands brand, owned by two local entrepreneurs who focus on making Homescent products.
