That same essence was beautifully brought to life at The 18th Restaurant and Lounge, where Jo Malone, in collaboration with The Trans Luxury Hotel and Metro Department Store, hosted a special event in honor of International Women’s Day.
Titled “Scent of Empowerment: A Celebration of Women”, the event was all about embracing confidence, individuality, and, of course, exquisite fragrance. The star of the evening was Jo Malone’s latest addition, Taif Rose Cologne Intense—a scent inspired by the rare and luxurious roses of Taif, Saudi Arabia. With the stunning city skyline as a backdrop and the air filled with Jo Malone’s signature elegance, guests were treated to an intimate and personalized scent experience, where we explored the art of layering fragrances and discovered how different notes interact with our own skin chemistry.
As for Taif Rose Cologne Intense, it was a scent that immediately commanded attention. The rich floral heart of Taif rose was deepened with warm, subtly smoky coffee notes, creating a fragrance that felt both opulent and intriguing. It carried a refined intensity—perfect for evening occasions, yet with a softness that made it just as wearable during the day.
Adding a creative touch to the celebration, the event also featured Decorating Stories of Empowerment, a special cupcake decoration session led by Chef Reni Nurfarida, the Executive Pastry Chef of The Trans Luxury Hotel.
From the luxurious scents to the elegant setting and interactive experiences, Scent of Empowerment wasn’t just about launching a new fragrance—it was also about celebrating women through the art of perfumery and creativity. And as we left with the lingering notes of Taif Rose on our wrists, it was clear that Jo Malone had once again created something truly unforgettable.
